Arts Competition
What does QLD mean to you?
In the lead up to this QLD Day, dust off your easel and pick up your pencils to enter the QLD Day Arts Competition.
With four age categories ranging from 4 to 18 years, we’re inviting young Queenslanders to join the fun and express what Queensland means to them through art.
Whether it’s a watercolour masterpiece of your favourite native animal or an abstract creation that captures the spirit of our great state, we want to see your unique vision come to life!
Exciting prizes await the winners of each category, and the standout entry will receive the incredible opportunity to have their artwork showcased at Brisbane Domestic Airport Terminal throughout July.
And remember, if you’re under 18, a parent or guardian must submit your entry on your behalf.
Good luck to each and every one of you. We can’t wait to see what our young Queenslanders have got!

Please note that videos and three-dimensional sculptures are not eligible for submission.

Wear maroon this
QLD Day!
On Friday 5 June 2026, bring your whole school together and turn it into a celebration of Queensland pride. Bring students, teachers and staff, fill your classrooms with colour and create a sea of maroon across your school.
Make it big, bold and fun, snap a class photo, host a whole-school assembly, run a best-dressed competition or go all out with a maroon-themed parade. However you celebrate, it’s your chance to show off your school spirit and be part of something happening right across Queensland.
Let’s see your maroon!
