QLD Day Party

Public transport is strongly recommended. There is very limited parking around Suncorp Stadium and Caxton Street on event day.

Take advantage of the 50 cent bus and train fares, or if you’re attending the NRL game at Suncorp Stadium, public transport is included with your ticket.

There is very limited parking around Caxton Street and Suncorp Stadium. Parking is available at The Barracks Car Park, which is a short walk from the event. The car park allows online parking purchases and provides dedicated persons with disability (PWD) bays close to lifts for accessible access. Entry to the QLD Day Party is free. However, food and drinks can be purchased from onsite stalls and businesses.

This is an all-ages event designed to celebrate being a Queenslander. Bring the whole family along for a fun afternoon. Please note children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

The QLD Day Party will have an AUSLAN interpreter for stage proceedings. There will also be accessible restroom facilities onsite.

You must comply with the Conditions of Entry displayed at each entrance point of the QLD Day Party event. Bags and prams are allowed into the event. No BYO alcohol, scooters, bikes, glass drinkware or pets (with the exception of certified service animals) are permitted.

No, pets are not permitted into the event space. However, certified service animals are welcome.

Yes, a variety of food and drink vendors and Caxton Street businesses will be onsite offering items for purchase.

Yes, toilets will be available at each end of Caxton Street and there are also bathroom facilities in each venue including at least one accessible toilet.

The QLD Day Party will feature live entertainment from Lee Kernaghan, Kita Alexander, The Steele Syndicate and Will Day. Other activities include face painting, pop-up activations, and food and drink vendors. For a more detailed program, visit the Event Facebook Page.

As this is an outdoor event, we recommend dressing for the weather. Wear comfortable shoes suitable for outdoors. Bring a hat, sunscreen and plenty of water to stay hydrated. If it’s raining, pack an umbrella, raincoat or poncho to keep dry.

Yes, you’re welcome to take photos and videos at the events. Feel free to share them on social media, tagging @qldgov and use our hashtags #qldday. However, please be mindful and avoid taking photos or videos of other children without their parents’ or guardians’ permission.

The event will still go ahead if it’s raining, so make sure to bring your umbrella, raincoat or poncho. However, in the case of severe weather, the event may be cancelled. For the latest updates, please follow our Event Facebook Page.

If your child gets lost, please remain calm and notify the nearest security officer. If the parent or guardian cannot be found, the security officer will take your child to the information tent.

You can hand in, or report lost items, at the information tent onsite. For further assistance, feel free to ask any onsite staff or security officers.

The stage program will feature amplified sound, including music and announcements, which will be set at a level suitable for outdoor events. While the sound levels will comply with local noise regulations, they may vary depending on the type of performance or activity. If you have concerns about noise levels, we recommend bringing ear protection, especially for young children or individuals sensitive to loud sounds.

Smoking is not permitted anywhere within the event site, however some venues on Caxton street have designated smoking areas.
